Oil Adjuvants

We offer large range of ready-to-use adjuvant for animal health. Using emulsion, nano-emulsion or polymer technology, these adjuvants under the brand MONTANIDE are designed to improve vaccine efficiency, safety and stability. These adjuvants ensures stable, efficient vaccine with minimal side effects. Our range of vaccine adjuvants include:

MONTANIDE ISA (Emulsions)

They are used to induce short-term, long-term or both types of protective immune responses to produce various types of emulsions – Water-in-Oil (W/O), Oil-in-Water (O/W), or Water-in-Oil-in-Water (W/O/W).

These powerful, highly refined, and ready-to-emulsify adjuvants are based on non mineral oil, mineral oil or a combination of both, as well as specific surfactant chemistry. The application of the final formulated vaccine determines the type of emulsion, the type of oil as well as the ratio to be used.

Listed below are the types of MONTANIDE ISA.

MONTANIDE IMS (Micro-Emulsions)

These are ready-to-dilute adjuvants, especially designed for producing extremely safe veterinary vaccines. These powerful, highly refined and ready-to-disperse adjuvants used to induce rapid immune responses, and are suitable for wide variety of ‘inactivated’ or modified ‘live’ antigens (bacterial, viral, mycoplasma or subunit). They are also suitable for ‘parenteral’ or ‘mucosal’ administration.

These adjuvants are liquid particles available in different sizes from 10 to 500 nm, and distributed over a wide area in an aqueous phase, comprising of an immunostimulating compound. Product contain low amount of oil and are commercially available in preserved (PR) or sterilized (ST) grades. The ratio of use can be adjusted from 15% to 50%, depending on the product selection and the expected safety and efficacy balance.

MONTANIDE GEL (Polymers)

These are highly innovative and ready-to-disperse proprietary polymeric adjuvant that comprises of highly stable polymer (sodium polyacrylate) gel particles widely distributed in water. The depot effect with slow release because of polymer adsorption improves the recruitment of the innate immune system. Thus, these kind of adjuvants enable enhancement of the immune response among animal species, with a ‘safety profile’ identical to aluminium salts.

These adjuvants are particularly suitable for aqueous vaccines (‘live’ or ‘inactivated’) to improve their ability to produce desired results in a safe manner, as well as for ‘mucosal’ or ‘parenteral’ administration.
